Because its systems have been jammed. They have been trying to get it off, but truth is it just won't. The moment it got detected in India's air radar it was jammed. The plane is NOT leaving on its legs, it will either be turned into scraps OR it will be carried out with a heli carrier. In the end our goverment has essentially kept hush about it for obvious reasons.

Yaar do you know the meaning of jamming?Jamming atmost causes temporary electronics failure/ retards communication. It does not cause mechanical failure. It has been stranded because it is in an airport without the necessary infrastructure to support F35. If it jammed so easily, how did israel literally strike iran for 10+ days using F35 without losing a single plane?

Saar even if it were true why would India do it to a friendly nation? The f35 was performing joint exercises with Indian Navy officer the Kerala coast. If something like that gets leaked to the public it will lead to a diplomatic fiasco. Simply not worth it anon. At most the IAF would have tried to get some intentional radar hits. But outright jamming an aircraft is almost an act of war. So much head ache but for what?
