To Motivationanon, and Dayush please, I need help.
I'm a BE Electronics graduate from a decent college in Mumbai, class of 2024. I wasted a year chasing the GATE dream worked hard, failed, and lost all motivation after that. Everything started crumbling. I began looking for a job in my core field, but all I found were fake offers or jobs that paid so little it was humiliating.
Out of sheer desperation, I joined a government refinery as an apprentice for 1 year. But the fact is apprenticeship isn't a real job. It's just a scheme designed to give industrial based technical skill to the unemployed. It’s not employment.I don’t learn anything here. I’m not allowed to use my phone, not allowed internet access. There’s no real work given to me just endless hours of sitting in a dust filled,crumbling cubicle surrounded by rusted scrap metal and silence. No guidance, no tasks, no future. Just 8 hours of mental rot every single day.
Every second I spend here feels like my soul is decaying. I look at the ceiling sometimes and wonder how I ended up like this. I had dreams once. I wanted to build things. I wanted to be proud of who I am. Now I just sit here, forgotten, nameless, and slowly fading into regret and depression.
What should I do? I don’t know where my life is going anymore. Please, if you’ve ever felt like this, tell me how you made it out. I don’t want to rot away like this. I don’t want to die like this.

I don't know what's it about it feels like there's a mismatch.
Most electronics people go for coding.
The biggest problem is no phone. You need to make little flashcards of notes and stuff to study and memorise so you can sneakily study at work if there's nothing to do.
How heavily are you watched?
Last time I felt like this, I resigned and basically told everybody bothering me to fuck off in corporate slang.

Can you afford to not work for some 4-5 months?
Try to find an entry level job as a codejeet somewhere.
It will take you about 2 months of dedicated study to learn something generic such as MERN stack, and 1.5 months to learn something specific such as deploying AI agents, cloud computing, natural language processing or something else.
It's difficult to get jobs these days. So you should ideally aim to apply for some 500 jobs a week every day. I'm not joking with this number.
Of course, all of this is applicable if you can afford to resign.
If you cannot, then you should try to learn whatever little thing you can while you're here till apprenticeship is over. How many months are left?

i can but year wasted for gate already demotivated me staying inside my home make me anxious and depressed.

That's easy to work on anon. Start composing stories in your head and write them when I get home.
Ask ChatGPT or humans for critique. Learn how to construct arguments, and have a narrative structure and so on.
Practice speaking in front of a mirror or while walking alone if you can. Look up how to pronounce things properly so you don't have a shitty accent.

Well, you can type and do about 80% of most vanilla JavaScript. Get a USB drive to install XAMPP for the other 20% and some ebooks to learn from.
Actually, I would use a pendrive, fill it with books and read them all day at work and take notes in notepad if I were you.
