There are plenty of jobs but not enough people to do them. Even a random Bihari Mazdoor or Haryanvi driver can get a job as long as they speak Japanese.
They are in recession because their government has been trying to keep yen from inflating for 30 years through market manipulation. They have only recently started to let go.

It's a pretty stressful and shitty environment in my experience.
Even more so for women.
Most managers there, Indian and Japanese, are pretty rude and stupid and have unrealistic expectations from their engineers, translators, etc.

Good luck out there in the sausage fest. Automotive salaries aren't increasing by much but I'm sure there will be jobs for you somewhere. Not sure if it will be easy without Japanese though.
