All cities other than the ones eligible for metro should have Light Metro Rails.
Instead of flyovers and other meme investments we can go for these.

why not just invest in building an actual suburban railway system like mumbai
multi-CBD cities like bhangilore or hyd are in desperate need of one, yet chamars still talk about muh X number of metro lines

Metro lite are meant for smaller cities and perfect for those.

Which means lots of cities can benefit from these. Better than BRTs i would say.

It's a pretty good idea, kolkata had a great tram system that is used even today but that is more akin to BRT in terms of planning

metro lite or tram system can be coupled with suburban systems too for bigger cities.

Build metro for 3 million plus cities, trams for 1-3 million and bus for the rest.
Don't base this on current population figure, but projected future figure when state urbanise more.

It is so kino to be on a flyover Metro, looking at development and infrastructure.
This goes against every commies dream and it warms my heart.

based, he knows, i see so many massive upgrades happening in factories, new factory constructions, warehouses, tractor manufacturing facility with 100s of new tractors lined up, if not for metro i wouldnt have seen them ever.

For Tier 1, flyovers are non negotiable. You need them to manage traffic. The views are unbeatable in return , citizens get to see development from up above, going through skyscrapers and power plants and industries.
underground has many issues, prime one being that garibs will start squatting and muslims will start putting stones on rails to kill people etc.
Future lies in Tier 2 with good and cheaper infra. Land will be cheaper to acquire and can do with normal trams or low speed metro's

Metro's are organised version of railways. The extra speed is necessary to manage volume of commuters in bigger cities.
Bhangilore is hopeless.
