pls ban guys like the one in pic rel from /a/. the board’s meant to be about anime but it’s been taken over by people who clearly don’t care about anime at all. they don’t post about shows they’re watching or anything related. they don’t start threads with thoughts on a series, or share any kind of analysis, or even dumb fan hype. they just dump hate. if anyone tries to talk about something sincerely, like saying they just finished Haibane Renmei and it really hit hard, or posting a Tokyo Godfathers tribute, or recommending some older kino like Texhnolyze, instead of discussion, they get hit with: >who watches tranime lol >stop eating goyslop >kek this is peak zoomer garbage >you still consume this slop in big 2025? none of it adds anything. it’s just the same replies on every thread. the whole board feels allergic to sincerity. meanwhile if you check /a/ on other chans, even smaller ones, it’s actually alive. people there post about what made them cry in 3-gatsu, or dig into the themes of Ergo Proxy, or just share what they love about the directing in a show like Paranoia Agent. they bring up animation techniques, compare manga panels to the anime scenes, or share kino screenshots from random OVAs. even comfy slice-of-life threads get replies like “i forgot how warm this show felt” or “revisiting this made me appreciate the pacing more”. there’s real energy there which makes you want to join in. whereas, post anything on bhach like that and you’ll get: >imagine watching this kek >kys plebbitor nuvchakke >try not watching cartoon for once and the saddest part is it’s not even ragebait that accidentally sparks discussion, it’s just patternposting. zero effort. no context. just endless “lol”s and blackpilled posturing from people who don’t even engage. it’s not even that they dislike anime, they’re not watching anything. they’re just there to hate on the idea of watching anime. this goes against the board rules. trolling, derailing, low-effort bait, all bannable. but nothing’s being done. and when jannies let this keep going, it sends a message that this is what bhach wants /a/ to be. it’s not just off-putting. it’s actually embarrassing. people from outside look in and go “damn this place is a joke”. and they’re right. it’s not even anger anymore, it’s just disappointment. because there are people who come to /a/ wanting something real. they want to talk about a show that meant something to them or find others who watched some weird 90s OVA. but those threads either get buried or mocked until the OP gives up. and slowly people stop trying. there’s still a chance to fix it. jannies need to step in and clean house. even banning a few of these guys would shift the tone. actual discussion could come back. more people would post. but if this keeps being ignored then we might as well accept that bhach’s /a/ is dead and the people who killed it never even liked anime to begin with. tl;dr: bhach's /a/ is full of people who don’t watch anime and just post hatebait like: >tranime >goysop >kys plebbitor any sincere anime thread gets derailed or mocked, while other chans actually have kino recs and real discussion. jannies aren’t doing anything, and if this keeps going, the board’s basically dead.
