Few months ago I told people in here that Jeets as always are late to a trend when the entire world has moved on from it, be it buying apple or be it sucking up to Jews. Their influence in academia and entertainment is diminishing, especially with the decline of Hollywood. Nobody likes him, even most Jews hate him and everyone knows he's just prolonging the conflict so he won't be jailed for his corruption charges and most Israelis waits for the day to put him behind bars. I don't see muslims as problem anymore (I used to). It has gotten worse with the current government however. The radical muslims (the actually problematic people) are a very small sect of the total muslim population. An urban muslim can't care less about their religion, just like any urban hindu. Painting every muslim as the enemy just to ensure an uninterrupted supply of votes is what's allowing the current establishment dodge accountability. At the end of the day, everyone is trying to make their ends meet. However, the heightened hatred that is prevalent in the current establishment has been very detrimental to the overall progress of the nation. It is to the point that people are ready to forgo their economic prosperity just to feel safe from the manufactured religious danger. Things will never change as long as the status quo is maintained.

True, we need to focus on the economic situation first. It is so saddening to think that China who started on par with us in the 1960s is facing the US head-on in every sector- be it AI or defense or sheer economic might. It is not like the western leaders don't indulge in identity politics but they ensure that economy is in a functional state while they're at it. However, in our case the politicians don't care about the economy as long as their pockets are full. Caste/religion politics are fine up to a certain extent but the real issue is the under-utilization of the Indian youth. With an average age of 28, India could've made significant economic advances had our politicians (current and former ones both) took some cognizance of this potential and tried to stimulate some job creation for the aforementioned demographic. However, they didn't and now there is high unemployment, stagnant wages and rising inflation.
In the next 10 years the median age will become 38, the chance will already be gone by then as we won't be a young country anymore. That will be the end of everything. We will forever be limited to the Hindu-muslim debates, mocking our neighbors like Pakistan/Bangladesh while being only marginally better than them. It is sad to think about what we could've been.
