Indians for the most part are struggling to make ends meet and live from paycheck to paycheck, while the upper middle class wagies are busy playing office politics, backbitching, backstabbing and getting into domestic arguments with spouses and attending PTAs. Do you think Indians as a country came together and walked behind Gandhi during freedom struggle?
I bet only like 10% of the whole population even gave a fuck, and some of them even chose to be sepoys and beat up their own countrymen. Some even actively enjoyed the company of the tyrants in British Raj.
