Jio Fiber

I use Jio Fiber for most purposes with Android and the top download speed seems to cap at a meagre 3 mbps, maybe 4 sometimes. Why? Am I doing something wrong? It's supposed to be at 30 mbps, I would expect atleast 15. Why is it always at boring speed of 3? I want to make the best of it, but I am not good with tech

Are confusing mbps with Mbps?
Divide by 8, you will get actual speed. For ex. 30/8 = 3.75 that's your actual internet speed.

Please elaborate, how are they different anon?

yaar MB/s -> megabyte per seconds, that's tbe data transfer rate.
Mbps -> megabit per sec, that's the network bandwidth which means tbe maximum amount of data which can be packed at once and dispatched to you.
Note that bandwidth is not speed i.e latency.
understand it like this, two buses with same average speed 50km/h, but different carrying capacities, - 100 vs 50

Thank you, that makes more sense to me, then I assume their is nothing I can do to increase its speed

not much, latency depends upon a lot of factors such as environment, medium etc.
wired networks are faster than wifi/cellular because there is little interference, they also have larger bandwidth, so more data can transferred.

Is their a way I can use those wire things to make my phone have faster internet from my JioFiber? The one that allows you to hold a direct line to your router rather than relying on wifi and stuff, I want to play vidya games

MB = 1024 KB = 1024 * 1024 Bytes
Mb = 1/8 MB

Ethernet? technically yes but phones don't eternity ports, also it depends upon the network, ie FTTH or Cellular? Jio is generally FTTH unless its Jio Air Fiber, even FTTH is cellular if you zoom out enough, its wired only from the nearest tower to your home.
Tbh the difference is negligible, most servers are far away and only way to contact them is through cellular network.

I see, that means my JioFiber (non air) is working as it is meant to, I will keep looking into it, since i don't own a PC, or I will see if I need to get a better plan that gives me more speed since I don't like waiting for downloads of 10000mb patches

Lmao, I used to get that on my 4g phone. This one is on 5g, but same sim which got auto upgraded to 5g

more like they are same thing just 1 byte = 8 bits, normally phones show in bytes but on speedtest websites like ookla it is in bytes, i am sure OP has 30mbps plan and the 3-4 MB/s is byte cause it is same for me, my torrent max goes 3.7, sometimes flicker to 4.2 but that is for a moment.

ookla is scam, hyped by illiterate gawar youtubers. use fast.com they show speed in megabytes rather than megabits.
