Its really fucking hard, even with compatibility with wine, you have to go through the trouble of downloading unofficial patches and look for specific configurations on the net, especially with games that were released in the late 90s and 2000s. What's more, I erased my windows like a retard, fuck

It's not hard saar. Install lutris. https://lutris.net/ learn to use it.

With this you can use easily configure wine etc. as per the need.

Even other emulated softwares or games can be run.

Steam proton is already present.

its feels like a meme at this point, like everything valve fanboys tend to make

I went through this and playonlinux as well but couldn't hack it, I might have another.

Maybe I should chop partitions and install windows for games.

Debian as is (stable/bookworm at the time of posting) is only suited for hosting servers

If you want to game, I recommend something that gets driver updates a lot faster

My personal recommendations are Nobara, Fedora, openSUSE Slowroll, Ubuntu non-LTS

Don't fall for the Arch meme and skip IT

Debian suck ass

It's comes what with bare minimum

Yeah some freaks like that but not me

If I am running a operating system it should come with everything I expect from a operation system to have

I ain't installing random shit just to make it work

My recommendation would be to install fedora

>Dnf is slow

Yeah

I could be very wrong but don't you have to compile from the kernel up for this particular edition of Arch?

Still based on Ubuntu 24.04 and it's 1 year old LTS packages

Also they still use X11 instead of Wayland

I would only recommend linux mint once they rebase off 25.04 and their Wayland stack is feature complete
