are pehchaan liya kek. to answer your question, getting into de shaw straight outta tier 3 is next to impossible. very rare cases. hell, i am yet to meet a tier 3 guy here juniors, seniors, colleagues all alike. de shaw is a good firm for learning stuff but the pay isnt worth it if you dont want a hectic work life. boht kaam hai, and you stay on the edge. mai 1 saal baad switch maarunga. koi specific doubts hai to pooch lo.
also ek update post banaunga: i think i finally might be in a relationship. thanks to an anon in that thread who advised me to find a not so social jeeta.

dsa and system design are good. i am assuming your branch is cse. keep your hold on subjects like databases and operating systems really tight. dont go with the mindset - faang or nothing. there are many other relevant companies. i myself was a NEET for 2 years. i was placed in cisco but i didnt want to work there so rejected the offer. but the sole reason i took this decision was because i knew i will get hired because of my kalej "tag". its just that the market is bad now (then).
you MUST know dev AND devops. studying AI and starting from a startup is also a nice path, many of my friends are on the same path. but i will add that this is quite risky. AI is here to stay but how easy and better you will shift from the said startup is something i cant warrant.
also dont get overwhelmed kyuki mai itna sab bol raha hai and start jumping from this पेड to that पेड.

12-15 LPA is a great start anon. the thing is NEVER about starting small or slow. its ALWAYS about never stagnating. kabhi bhi life stagnant lage to take a step back, give yourself a few hours, or a day or two and get back at it again. never stagnate, keep pushing and keep moving forward. all the best yaara. i hope you find the job of your dreams one day. i genuinely mean it. i faced a lot of criticism from muh samaaj for rejecting that cisco jaab.

nah, its always good, i have heard these things too, they really can't fanthom how some dont want to "settle". they really dont like how i am in my room most of the day just studying and doing my stuff, i dont go out because i am not social in general, so its not a problem for me but my family makes my life hell sometimes, will move out once i make it. they have more than enough yet they dont give me anything.

i dont have to earn for anyone tho, they are well off, my brother is about to be married and it will be a joint family which will hit my prep for placements more. i need quiet space badly. i have to study in nights when it is finally quiet. i dont have much say in anything either, they force me to functions solely because of muhh "society" bs.
