I miss the vibe of old school facebook. Using facebook on the old nokia phones. Looking at those 4 dots of loading screen.
Texting friends, waiting for messages, that subtle read notification, those messages. Those communities.
I miss it all. Facebook now feels like a distant place where dead linger.

facebook was a massive time waste. for me, a kid who wasn't allowed out of the house or to have any real life frens outside skewl, it was horrible.
I had nyo idea how people actually were and i had nyo idea that they were all faking it online. my frens and seniors would post photus with girls and at sum places and it would take years till i started going out with pepo to realise that they just go near sum kewl looking place to get a couple of snaps and return home.
facebook was a giant self-imposed filtration mechanism of the socially inept.
Everytaime some guy posts somethang online, it is with the sole purpose of getting the socially inept killed cause they won't realise what reality is and will think that the brootality is 100x than what it really is.

The speed was slow in the dialup era but the websites themselves were rather simple and were small in size so even slow connections could visit. Because of this limitation web designers wether professional or amateur had to get creative to make best use of sparse resources like small pixel grid and bandwidth
This itself made web creation and artform and people all around the world used the intended as a form of self expression. This was before it got zogged and was turned into a corporate product via the likes of jewgle and amazog

It had more human element, just people talking shit, posting about regular stuff. Day to day lives, meeting laughing.
Social media, actors, etc. were limited to one corner. Even the memes were ancient and not turned into slopfest by meme pages.
Everything was young and cherishing.
2g was enough to play games like clash of clans.
