<Thank you for staying connected. I'm Dheeraj from Dell Social Media Support, and I will be assisting you.
>is this a chatbot, or are you a real person ?
<I'm Dheeraj from Dell Social Media Support, and I will be assisting you.
>hello
>i have bright pixels on my screen, a lot of them
>about 10-15 in the middle of the screen, and about a 100 on the upper right corner
<Ensure that the screen is clean (no dust particles on the surface of the screen).
<Press and hold the last button next to the Power Button for 4 seconds until a pop-up menu appears.
<Select the diagnostic tool to start the BIST pattern.
<When a gray screen appears, inspect the screen for abnormalities.
<Press button 1. The color of the screen changes to red. When a red screen appears, carefully inspect the screen for abnormalities.
<Repeat step 5 to inspect the display in green, blue, black, white and text.
<Press button 1 again to exit the test.
>yes i just did.
>when the screen was green and blue, all pixels were uniform.
>but in all other colours, i could clearly see the stuck pixels.
>the screen was absolutely clean. no dust, no nothing.
<Can you share the video of the above test?
>I'll have to do the test again, so please wait
<sure
>sends video
<I understand that it can be frustrating to hear that the system has been damaged due to pressure applied, which means it unfortunately won't be covered under warranty. Please know that we are here to help you find the best possible solution moving forward.
>absolutely not. no pressure applied. you're lying.
>this only appeared a few months ago. i bought this in 2024. it hasn't even been 2 years.
>never have I ever applied pressure. it has been sitting on that table perfectly still for 1.5 years now.
<Sorry for the inconvenience. As per the shared image, we see that the system is damaged.
>where ? where exactly do you see signs of damage ? i can send another video if you want. i beg you to prove signs of intentional damage.
<Alright, we will check with our internal team.
>it's a brand new monitor. the number of pixel defects far exceeds the allowed limit. i am entitled to a replacement.
>don't you dare try to dodge this. this is a brand new monitor. i won't accept this shitty monitor. i deserve a replacement.
<I understand how important this is to you, and we will definitely reach out to our internal team to get the information you need.
>don't you dare try to unfaithfully deny me my replacement. or i WILL get my lawyers involved.
>i don't need information, i need a replacement.
<I apologize for the inconvenience. To prioritize resolving your computer issue, I am having my supervisor review your case. They will contact you shortly.
<Hello [REDACTED],
<I'm Dayanand, one of the Supervisors at Dell Social Media Support.
<I sincerely apologize for the inconvenience caused and regret any confusion regarding the issue you've encountered.
<Upon reviewing your case, I understand that there is pixel distortion on the monitor screen. Please rest assured, I am personally evaluating the videos you have shared to better understand the <issue.
<To assist you further and expedite the warranty replacement process, I kindly request you to share a few clear images of the monitor in self-test mode. This will help us validate the condition more accurately and proceed accordingly.
<Thank you for your patience and cooperation. I am committed to resolving this matter swiftly and ensuring you receive the necessary support.
<Best regards,

if it's within warranty period, then make a claim, they will replace the entire thing. if they try to jew you and deny your claim, threaten to involve lawyers or to sue them. they will straighten right up and replace your entire monitor for free. they will come to your doorstep to do so.
also, mine was 10.6k
