Does india have child protective services of sorts?
Recently i decided to walk from my office, i reached a section where sidewalks were being done.
Saw lots of tribal workers, their kids - playing with sand, some of them working. Made me wonder about child labor and all but i just walked away.
This sight is very common where you can find laborer's and their kids at work sites.
Contracting did some cost cutting but it made me wonder about the financial sights of the workers, their kids are not studying - what are their dreams, how will they socially uplift...idk what to feel about it.

I completely agree with this yaar. I don't hate them because I'm racist. No. I hate them because of their complete indifference towards their own children. They breed like rats. 6-7 children at a time. And then they don't even care for them. They go to work with all their children. 4 of them would be majdooring away with their parents and a couple of them are usually toddlers. Too young for majdooring.
I see so many poor little bihari toddlers standing on the edges of footpaths. While their parents and older siblings are majdooring next to them. They don't seem to care that their 1 year old is standing on the edge of the footpath, merely centimetres away from incoming traffic. They don't care if a car runs their toddler over like some stray animal. No. Because they will just drink two bottles of santri and make a new one the next night and that's what makes my blood boil. Not that they're bihari majdoor. But the fact that they're absolutely indifferent when it comes to caring for their children. I have seen so many little kids of these people die such horrible deaths in road accidents because they jumped in front of the traffic while chasing a kabootar or some shit, and then they have the audacity to blame the innocent driver. Like the madarchods didn't leave their 1 year old unsupervised next to a highway themselves.

I myself have studied from a gobermint school. No. Not a KV. An actual sarkari school with 25 rupia yearly fees. And believe me, these guys don't care about studying at all even though it's completely free for them plus they get paushtik aahar midday meals. What kind of a dream a person born and raised around majdoor sites parents earning moongfali, being lucky to even have stomach filled today even dream about? I don't know where you live, but here 99% of the time students didn't bother coming to school because the teachers barely come. Even if they come they don't teach. Ever since the 1990s the quality of teachers in Bihar (and UP to an extent) has been declining because of rampant cheating and corruption in the exams, families have to either risk a (relative) fortune on moving to some city and hoping their child does well in a private school there or save that money and use it wisely for land, dowry, etc. What do you think they'll choose?

I'm from Haryana/Punjab/Chandigarh. I've attended sarkari schools in all 3 states and they're all great where students get midday meals and stuff. The migrant children of labourers have who come to these schools are insincere and don't care about studying at all, even though studying is the only way for them to escape the brootal poverty. They actually prefer to become blue collar majdoors instead of a corporate majdoors which is why they don't give a fuck even when gobermint is giving them all the facilities in the world. Some people just don't care.
