I take pride in my work and do not slack off for the hours I get paid for and now this is making me look like a try-hard somehow.
Obviously I know I do a meme codebhangi job and have no delusions like I'm doing anything important ( no real engineering happens in lundia ), nor am I doing this to "score points with manager".
It's simply that I get paid fairly and a good amount ( in my opinion ) to work x hours and I do just that, not more but not less.
I've seen that irrespective of pay, most jeets are inherently dishonest and believe that they are being "smarter" by slacking off / doing the bare minimum, hence the "whip" they get in more stricter environments for which they cry again

What to do anons? How to I learn the pajeet work ethic?

You are being fool for your ideals. I used to be like this untill a year passed and I realised only a moron will work more for the same amount of money. Anon, tumhare baap ki company nahi hai, learn to chill out a little.

yar, I was once in an open source summer program in my college. Obviously along with a lot of Indians there were people from other countries as well. After the introduction, they had a QnA session.
The only questions that Indians asked were along the lines of
> how/when will I get paid?
> what exchange rate will be used?
> criteria for "passing" ( and hence payment )
But from other developed countries, they asked what resources can they use to learn more etc.
I thought about it a lot after that and prob what caused me to become the "goy"

You just need to be a little laid back anon. Know that corpos tend to make you give your 150% so as a compensation you need to work at your 25% unless pushed to do better.

The things you described have nothing to do with jeets, people in corporate's everywhere are like that and most of the work is done by 20-30% of the people, the thing I noticed working with jeets which might be exclusive is that even when they are working they usually work like bots, they never think about the second order consequences of anything, they will just follow the guide or the existing implementation without a second thought, in our project this keeps causing issues in production. You can notice this with customer care as well, they will start throwing scripted replies at you multiple times and you have to explain them the issue repeatedly to get any useful response.

hmm, could be. I just had one anecdotal experience to base what I wrote on. Current work does not involve enough pharen interaction to draw any conclusions.

This happens at teaching profession too.
I'm the ass in my department.
I do the heavy lifting while fucking PhD holders in their 50s earning 7 to 9 LPA dump their work on me and watch reels, flirt with women coworkers, eat snacks, abuse students (some exhibit pedophilic behavior) and keep projecting the smallest work that they do to everyone, and rinse and repeat.
>hence the "whip" they get in more stricter environments for which they cry again
They won't ever change no matter how much they get whipped. They will complain all day but will never leave because they KNOW that if they go out they'll fail to get a proper job so they just find and develop ways to make the ass work harder than it already does.
>never sat well with me but somedays I feel like I'm being the fool for my ideals.
Yes, we are.
You know what's the result of these shit ideals?
I am completely burnt out and I will be leaving this job that I got after years of being a NEET thanks to nepotism and my future looks grim. When I go to sleep and wake up in the morning, it feels like someone beats me up in the middle of the night. I failed badly at this job by being the yes man who helped everyone and got little from 90% of them in return.
>How to I learn the pajeet work ethic?
I will never become like these piece of shits that I despise. They suffer and pay the price for these asshole behaviors by having to be a prostitute and stay in a place that treats them like shit and then shamelessly go and beg others to help with their jobs as they never really "developed" their skills.

> Who's gonna tell him
yar anan, I'm neither retarded ( I believe so atleast ) nor clueless of my situation.
I don't do any extra "ghisayi". Most days are < 7 hrs of in office work for which the pay is quite good. I just don't feel like I should try to "steal time" and instead just do what I get paid for.

That's the spirit anon, if you naturally get more work done without extra effort, that is fine. We all have a quota to fill, know that as long as you are above it, it is good. You don't HAVE to try to steal time, just take it a little easy.

Pay can always get better
