first of all prakrit is a class of various spoken languages, there are many prakrits basically.
Bengali is not a classical language, it literally descends from Pali, the word pali itself comes from Pala, they rulers of Pala Empire (modern engal and Bihar).
Sanskrit is perfected literary language with a grammar, unlike spoken Ooga bogga prakrit languages.
Hindi is a similar language.
