is there any other caste with this much subdivisions ?

No.332
mostly are based on regions/origins like, bengal, awadh, then some in south, but what I have read, 2 division Gaur(north), Dravids(south) and then subdivisions in these based on regions, but being a brahmin never got really bothered by any of the subdivisions. It can also be due to living in tier1 city and early migration from village by ancestors but yeah mostly based on regions

The core divisions are Panch Gauda and Panch Dravida.
Gauda get divided as
>Kanyakubja
>Gauda
>Saraswat
>Utkala
>Maithilia
Dravida gets divided as
>Gujara
>Karnataka
>Maharastra ka
>Telanga
>Dravida
>but being a brahmin never got really bothered by any of the subdivisions. It can also be due to living in tier1 city and early migration from village by ancestors but yeah mostly based on regions
This is is mostly true. Subdivisions vary by the regions naturally. For instance some of the very well known subdivision of Kanyakubja would be (shreni) Saryuparin (Saryu Paar, or across the river Saryu) Sanadhya, Sthaniya and so on.
