Reasoning is simple, screenshots from reddit, cheap low effort foid spams, etc. have destroyed other imageboards. If you are interested in social media drama use those social media don't bring it here - if you want to leave leave - i don't care.
Most of the times the spammers are specifically few of the posters who do nothing but proliferate screenshots from reddit and so on. I don't care.
These low effort threads destroy any good effort posts.
There are not enough rules for /b/, just these two are the ones we are asking. And please use sage or report these threads instead of bumping them.

You can manually select any board you want for overboard that's the entire point.
Go to >/settings/overboard
Yes we are planning to have two overboards, one for normal interests and other for nsfw boards like /b/, /pol/, /int/ etc.

these are killing entire imageboards. we need to retvrn where at best these are secondary contents.
returning imageboard back to anons.
about their interests, stories, life not about what some tard or hell a bot by an agency spamming on some social media.
these can be part of greater set of discussions - that is already covered under secondary supplement.
once anons are slightly forced to not get into low effort drains, we may see some better results. atleast that's the hope.
expunging /pol/ content to /pol/ is important. it helps in the above goal. /pol/ always has enough ragebait momentum that it will spinup to be a fast board automatically.
rest niche boards will benefit in general eventually - not gonna push hard for it but slowly it will happen.
