Yeah i hv heard that one before and i find that hard to believe. I am pretty sure you could bang when children were out playing, or you could bang in fields or barn or just send kids to sleep in kitchen or some other room. Most people didnt start living in crammed up conditions with no privacy until industrial revolution.
