probably because it takes some understanding of the world to understand that philosophy, religion and spiritualism are intertwined.

interestingly, that board is called
> /rta/ - Religion and Philosophy
So at least the admin has some basic understanding it seems. I dunno why they moved it though. I have been noticing many threads shifting from one board to another in the last week or so.

Only some aspects of it though.Devices and internet provide all the entertainment, but it is not the complete package. For instance, in the ultimate version, you will have all the money and all the resources that you need to explore the 'world'. But do you have all the money and all the resources to do whatever you want?

You can do whatever you want in the artificial world, it’s at least better than the current one, where you can’t do whatever you want in any world.

It'll lead to extinction, there's no point in keeping pure pleasure enjoyers for long. Before long AI will just replace them.
But I guess people who do think there's nothing wrong with it probably think that's good too. If you fundamentally don't value your human experience, then there's no point in conversing further because of incompatible values. It'll be like explaining to a psychopath why people needs to be valued.

You're access to artificial world is limited by the resources. Someone would need a good PC with a decent GPU to use AI to generate enough slop to drown in, not counting the limitations of AI to immerse to begin with.

the same goes for the real world, your access is limited by money, status, and luck. At least in the artificial world the barrier is just hardware and software, not the entire system you’re born into.

The comic is about substituting those real world experience which requires work to live with even chances to failure regardless of effort with instant gratification from a fake artificial reality.
It's the barrier in real world that makes this world the perfect mouse trap.

People who shut their eyes to reality simply invite their own destruction, and anyone who insists on remaining in a state of innocence long after that innocence is dead turns himself into a monster.
