Remember, Hinduism is a living religion that is very much alive.
Hindu deities are not just aspects of your own body and mind, but also have presence in this world. They have humane traits and personalities, and their own personal goals just like us.
We are but ants compared to them. If some ants started chanting your name, you would notice, right? It won't be a big deal for you to give them some sugar or destroy their home or cause other destructions either.
So don't offend them on purpose.
Likewise, beware of asuras, yakshinis, etc.

First, check if you have Manushya or Rakshasa gan in your kundali. Won't work with Dev gan.
Then...
Go to a cremation ground nearby, and cook and eat food there at night. Maybe also invite some spirits to come show you something. Drop a few drops of your own blood too. Best done on any Amavasya, or Holi or Diwali.

Sometimes when writing exams, I would suddenly get a nagging feeling in my head whenever I overlooked a mistake or made a silly error. It was almost like someone was whispering in my ear whenever I did something wrong.
Call it intuition or her blessing, but I felt like someone was occasionally helping me out. I also stayed calmer during my exams, while I usually used to feel very anxious.
It was a nice experience overall.

Usually a weak Sun and Moon can cause expose people even with Dev Gan. But that's a long procedure.
