the bigger question is do you have time and money to nurture them, provide them with water and compost, change their soil once in a year or two. in this brutal heat direct sun kills plants easily, so you should pick plants only after doing research properly otherwise it would be waste of monies.

A real solution is to get those small coolers and put it just over you when sleeping, I have been using this in my hostel since a long time, it works pretty well, although if you sleep door closed it'll become humid af,

also a pro tip: I fill it with chilled af water at night from water cooler, see if you can do the same, it bloody works like an ac at night
