Stoodycels are mostly from middle income families, even the reserved category toppers are from similar class.
Also the whole "General category is le rich" is a meme, in Bihar caste census only 10% of General category households had an income above 50k, General category has slightly higher number of well to do people as compared to other categories, that's it.
Poor General Category students have been clearing the General category cutoffs for decades lmao.

For JEE in particular scores of SC are so low that it genuinely doesn't make sense, like even by every census data there are enough middle class, upper middle class SCs that scores should have been higher.
Ig most children just see the required rank for their caste getting into their target college last year and prepare accordingly.

Yup, the SC cutoff has stayed same for years in JEE.
Competition in general category and even among OBCs is increasing.
SCs have weird culture man - alcoholism, domestic abuse, incest etc etc, it's low IQ nothing else.
Infact reservation has only helped 2-3 castes among SCs.

Because that's not how prep for jee for other meme exams work. Students just join a coaching where everyone is taught the same way. Most middle class SC children do actually have parents in white collar gov/pvt jobs so part about academic background isn't true either unless you want to talk about grandparents for even further for some reason.

Most sc do not take exams –> most scst are significantly more poor -> only a small percentage of sc take exams -> just like ever other category, only a small percent clears the exams -> thus only a small percent of sc we see in results.

The level differences is in mountains when comparing caste as an entity on which the reservation were based. If there was no caste based atrocities in the first place there would have never been caste based reservations. It would have been individual income based. Its just equality on larger scale at work.

How is it difficult to understand that reservations create a feedback loop, where new student who enter the exam game with reservations don't see any reason to study beyond whatever was required for their caste last year. Why tf would someone purposely slave for hours more, it's not like studying for meme exams is a fun or noble activity.

i've lived my whole life in delhi. same goes for my nana, nani, dada, and dadi (but my dada and nana were originally from up tho). we barely have any relatives from meerut (only been there once for my bua/fuppo’s wedding back in 2014 or 2015 i think). i’m joining ipu east campus for btech in automation and robotics. ik it’s a mid college but it’s still the 2nd best option i had after dtu/nsut (just came after talking to the officials myself since i won't be giving adv as i'm not eligible for it :/)

it's alright. crowded and chaotic most of the time, but you get used to it. food’s gr8, people can be hit or miss. summers are horrible here XP, especially may-june (but the heatwaves have already started T-T). one thing that sucks is most people don’t give a shit about cleanliness, like you’ll see trash just lying around and no one bats an eye (they even throw it on the ground themselves, even though the public/mcd dustbin is just a few steps away). but still, it’s got its own vibe. kinda feels alive in a weird way
