If you are confident go for UPSC. An IAS officer can earn a 100 crores during his career through kickbacks and corruption. You may need to be street smart tho. But you cannot live a lavish lifestyle out in public, but your children will be millionaires and won't have to work a day in their lives.
However if clean air, rule of the law, enjoying the best infrastructure are important, consider the USA.

Also the special treatment an IAS gets is unparalleled. You'll be the most important citizen in the district as DM and get the common folk fawning over you, and gifting you expensive things just to have you as a guest at their function.
If you get DM posting during election time it'll be the best loot of your life.

It depends person to person.
If a guy wants to go solo like Sundar Pichai etc then he should opt for US but if he wants to push along with his community then he should cultivate network within India by opting for UPSC.
Some Upper Castes also have a good population in west so I think if a person belonging to such castes cultivate netrorks in west then he will have a upper hand in the longer run across multiple generations.

originated among the millennials cause no matter how, if they sat for 10 years they would crack atleast a chaprasi exam or atleast had much more probability of cracking one than the gen z. tell them to sit for an exam again and they will rope.
