Pretty sure you can get great placements if you're a BSc/BA Eco (bch). Same for BCom and BSc Hons (if you're in a tier 1 college)
BA is a meme though unless you are going the long route into academia/research

I would say start creating cs level projects to prepare for shitty career , cause in india, for every other field you would have to be in top 0.1 percentage to have a decent career, otherwise you will suffer same fate as others
